The permanent magnet cylindrical magnetic separator (from single cylinder to four cylinders) is a continuous automatic iron removal equipment for dry powder materials. Its interior adopts a unique magnetic circuit design, equipped with cross or flipping type magnetic fields. It uses high-performance permanent magnet Samarium Cobalt NdFeB material as the magnetic source, with strong magnetic field, high suction force, and high iron removal rate. It has the features of no maintenance, energy saving, safe and reliable use, and can adjust the feed volume. It is suitable for different particle requirements.

- Magnetic system: Composed of high-performance permanent magnetic materials such as neodymium iron boron or ferrite, mostly multi-pole magnetic systems, which are the key part for generating magnetic force.
- Sorting drum: Made of non-magnetic materials such as stainless steel, with a wear-resistant layer on the surface, capable of rotating to drive the movement of the materials.
- Feeding device: Used to uniformly transport the materials to be sorted onto the surface of the drum.
- Separation plate: Adjusts the separation path of magnetic and non-magnetic products.
- Driving device: Includes a motor and a reducer, controlling the rotational speed of the drum.
- Frame: Supports the entire equipment to ensure stable operation.
Application fields:
The permanent magnet drum magnetic separator is a device that uses the magnetic field of permanent magnets to separate magnetic materials. It is widely used in the mining, construction materials, and other industries. It can also be applied to the iron removal operations in the cement, steel, chemical, refractory materials, and waste treatment industries.

Working Principal

The magnetic separation machine with permanent magnets has two types of magnetic field structures: rotating type and fixed type. The fixed type is mainly used for wet separation of fine particles with strong magnetism in weak magnetic fields, or for removing strong magnetic minerals from non-magnetic minerals. When the slurry flows into the magnetic field area, the strong magnetic minerals are adsorbed on the surface of the cylinder, while the weakly magnetic and non-magnetic minerals are separated and removed. The strong magnetic minerals adsorbed on the cylinder surface are carried out of the magnetic field area with the rotation of the cylinder. The rotating type is suitable for dry separation of fine (medium-strong) magnetic minerals. Due to the effect of high-speed rotation, the number of magnetic rolling times of magnetic particles is much higher than that of ordinary magnetic separators. This has a significant effect on disrupting magnetic agglomeration and improving the grade of the concentrate. After separation, the minerals are separated into magnetic and non-magnetic substances, which are discharged from their respective discharge ports of the machine.
